Frequently asked questions.

What locations do you service?

Sweet Briar Pet Transport services all US states excluding Alaska & Hawaii.

Do you have any requirements?

We require that all pets have a health certificate as well as proof of vaccination per USDA regulations as well as for the health, safety, and well-being of all animals on board. Puppies & Kittens must be at least 8 weeks of age prior to pickup.

Are you USDA registered and insured?

Sweet Briar Pet Transport is both USDA registered and fully insured, this includes insurance on your individual pet. We would be happy to provide documentation to soothe any worries or concerns.

Who will be taking care of my pet(s)?

We have a small select group of experienced drivers and handlers who will be taking care of your pet(s) exclusively. During transport, a team member will be with your pet(s) at all times to ensure they have the most comfortable experience possible.

What will my pet(s) eat?

Pets will be fed according to their owners food and water recommendations. We encourage owners to send along your pet’s typical food but we always have high quality pet food and water on board. Please reach out to us directly to make accommodations for raw diets or specialty foods.

How will my pet be traveling?

We are equipped with Mercedes Sprinter vans that have climate controlled heating and cooling. All pets will be crated during transport for their safety as well as the safety of other pets and personnel. We use crash-rated Ruffland performance crates exclusively. “Ruff Land kennels feature race car-inspired Ruff-Flex™ Energy Dissipation Technology, a series of design elements that dramatically improve the odds of your dog surviving an accident.”

Do you cater to pets with special needs?

Absolutely! Sweet Briar Pet Transport would never turn away a pet with special needs and are happy to provide extra love and attention. Please reach out to us directly so we can work together on any special accommodations your pet may need!

I’m only shipping my pet(s) one state over, why is the estimated travel time so long?

Because we have so many furry friends traveling around the United States, we have developed a pre-planned route that allows us to travel the most effectively. This route can take longer than the anticipated drive time due to the time and care we give our pets on board. Your flexibility allows us to ensure all pets receive the highest quality care. However, if you prefer that your pet arrive to their destination quicker, please reach out to us about our private pet transport services.

When and How do I pay?

While CASH is preferred we can accept Paypal, Venmo, Cashapp, and Zelle. We do not accept credit cards or personal checks. Payment is due at the time of delivery once your pet has arrived happy, healthy, and safe to ease your peace of mind.

What are your hours of operation?

Sweet Briar Pet Transport is a 24 hour service that operates around the clock and outside of typical business hours so that your pet can be delivered ASAP. This also means that someone will be available to answer texts or calls at all times.
